Crisis Resources
This page is for individuals experiencing thoughts of suicide, self-harm, or a severe mental health crisis, and for family members supporting them.
When Suicidal Thoughts Arise
Suicidal ideation can range from passive thoughts of not wanting to be here to active planning. Both warrant immediate clinical attention. If you are in danger of acting on these thoughts, please go to your nearest emergency room or call 911.
Common methods of self-harm in crisis include firearms, intentional medication overdose, and hanging. The presence of a plan involving any of these methods indicates a heightened level of acute risk and requires immediate professional intervention.
What to Do
- Remove access to lethal means when safe to do so
- Reach out to a trusted person or clinician
- Go to the nearest emergency room if in immediate danger
- Call 911
Ongoing Care
Once acute risk is stabilized, ongoing treatment is essential. Our outpatient program offers individual therapy, group support, and medication management for individuals recovering from a crisis.
